Finally February 2021 at 2,600′ in the Cascades

As many of you know this season has been a little tough at the Hyak base area, due to being 400 feet below Snoqualmie Pass. Not that much vert but it means a lot of rain vs. a lot of snow. Not needing to mention, that our pass at 3K is 1k too low also. Giving us many days of rain at Alpental base area and nuking on top. It always gives an epic ski from top to bottom, but sometimes it’s hard to get motivated looking out my window up the slopes of Hyak seeing only rain.

So, as I’ve mentioned to my friends, I have recorded 28 feet in a past February and hoping this year produces some great memories for the posses. BAM! Game on, we pray! Have fun out there Snow Troopers and remember “Live to Ski Another Day!”
