Below is a quick look at the Summit East ski area, yesterday (1/4/15) between 2PM and Sunset. Super small window, because the skiing wasn’t worth climbing Hyak until about 6 to 7 inches stacked up at the base area. It took most of the day to accumulate, but the skiing was well worth the wait and the best I’ve had at home this slow starting Winter. Wishing I were out their this morning, but 30 minutes after I walked off the nice fresh snow (last night), the frozen rain began, then turned over to full on RAIN ever since. OK, the silver lining is now, we will have a rock solid base to get this season GOING in the lower zones!
