The Summit at Snoqualmie and our own TNT are featured in the top spot on Skiing Magazine’s list of Top 10 Snowiest Resorts So Far (skiingmag.com 2/10/2012).

Four resorts in the Pacific NW made the list: Mt. Baker, Summit at Snoqualmie, White Pass and Timberline -and they’re the only ones listed with snow bases at mid-mountain of over 100″. Alyeska aside, Mt. Baker continues to have the most snow in the U.S. with 168″ at the top of the Pan Dome chair at 5000ft (128″ at its Heather Meadows base area located at 4300ft) and the Summit at Snoqualmie holds on to the #2 spot with 127″ at the top of Alpental.
And more snow is on the way: NOAA has just issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective starting 1pm today until Sat. 10am for up to 7″ around Snoqualmie Pass (and 10″ by Sunday morning). So, it’s going to be great this weekend. We’ll be at Alpental tomorrow for the 6th annual VERTFEST and the Monika Johnson Memorial Rally (randonee race) starting at 10am, free backcountry skiing, gear demos and more. See post below for details. See you there!
