Take a ride w/ Andy Traslin down a sweet chute known as the “Twin One Couloir” located off the Duffy in the Joffre group, British Columbia. I guess you could say this is training to defend his Alpental Vertfest title this upcoming Saturday, February 18th. Below is what Andy had to say about the day.
The weather and stability were looking good so the plan was to head up to Snowspider area. We were running a little late around three hours behind the other group.The plan was to try to ski something along the way. I drove fast on the sea to sky highway to make up some time. We made it up to the Vantage col. I looked up to the Twin One couloir and saw three dots. I quickly unloaded my pack and Mike decided to break trail with the other two. I was running out of time and went into overdrive and did an interval up the chute. I ran into the other three on the downhill and they were to watch me from below. Epic run on a really aesthetic line.
