As we wait this morning for the opening of Alpental w/ 8″ new from yesterday and what ever the patrol reports from over night  for the Summit at Snoqualmie’s website www.summitatsnoqualmie.com , I can’t help but reflect on the month of March in 2009. Here is a short vid that brings the memory back a little better.

ATTN: Powder update for Jan. 15th, 2010 Central Cascades!!! I have good news and bad news here at Hyak, WA… First the good news – It is snowing at 2,600′ pretty good right now. The Bad new is the new snow is fast covering the footprints of the theif who stole my Tahoe since getting off patrol last night at 11:PM and Snow Reporting at 4:30AM  this morning. Any one going past Hyak to ALPENTAL???
