10/27/10 - 49″ new and the first BIG strorm of the 2010/2011 season brought us and about 50 other rando skiers to Mt. Rainier National Park once again.
Getting to the park entrance just after 9AM gave us about a two hour wait for the rangers to swing the gate open for Paradise… Yes, Paradise!!!
We took our time out of the chute and let the other 49 people work on setting a good packed skin track. Once we hit Pan Face, spotted Silas and his group on their way down along w/ Amar and his group rippin the skins off to ski the lower mountain trying to escape the wind. We followed their lead and yo yo skied the face, then dropped into Edith basin for a couple more good laps before calling it a Great day!
