Skied Kitzbuhel with 3 time World Cup Downhill Austrian winner Pepi Strobl as our guide (and instructor in proper carving technique). Was joined by his friend Walter and my friends KK and Val. He got us up close to the Hahnenkamm race course. The steepness and hairpin turns on this course are unbelievable – I’m told this is the toughest course on the circuit yet racers hit speeds of over 140kph!  I was thankful for the fence below me as I skied across the icy course.  Huge terrain at Kitzbuhel – took us about an hour to get back to town so we ended up skiing the last part after the sun went down and missed the Super G race today. The gondolas are named after Hannekahm winners – we happened to ride Darron Ralves’.  Got quite a few pix of the course and terrain. More off mountain info and pix on The Snow Troopers Facebook page.
