Four hours from Vancouver you will find a classic mostly 45 degree chute amongst an awesome setting off Joffre Peak which is where the video below was filmed by our Bro Andy Traslin going after the Aussie Couloir back on May 13th, 2010. Here is a little of what Andy had to say about the trip:
I was attemping to do a link-up of some of the peaks in the Joffre group, but I was having a bad day and barley made it up the Anniversary glacier in the heat.Rested at the col then made the boot pack up the Aussie Couloir, I did it around 10 years ago.I forgot how fun of a snow climb this is, straithforward 45 degree boot pack.The descent was even better and excellent corn down the Anniversay glacier but getting isothermic near the bottom.
