Chinook Pass, WA – W.S.D.O.T. has reached summit from Naches

John Stimberis from the Washington State Dept. of Transportation reported on May 18th that crews have reached the Pacific Crest Trail bridge from the Southeast entrance (coming from Yakima/Naches). The plan is to have Chinook Pass open on May 28, 2010. See the WSDOT’s page and some pics click here


Below is an old Snoqualmie Snow Trooper trip to Chinook to see some of the goods. Please note Trooper dog doesn’t get hurt by the small wet slide that hosed him.
